The Six Domains

  1. Career — Work, professional growth, impact, and contribution
  2. Relationships — Partner, family, friends, community
  3. Health — Physical fitness, mental health, energy, longevity
  4. Meaning — Purpose, spirituality, legacy, what makes life significant
  5. Finances — Income, wealth, security, freedom
  6. Fun — Play, adventure, leisure, joy

A thriving life requires attention to all six. Excellence in one cannot compensate for neglect of another.

Key Principles

  1. Balance is not equal allocation. Different seasons require different emphasis. The goal is intentional imbalance, not accidental neglect.
  2. You can't pour from an empty cup. Health and energy are foundational.
  3. Relationships are the multiplier. Strong relationships make every other domain richer.
  4. Fun is not optional. Play is essential to creativity, resilience, and sanity.
  5. Meaning is the anchor. Without purpose, achievement feels empty.
  6. Review regularly. Your Life Map should be a living document.
